Songs

Songs are very essential to plays because they set the tone and feeling for the audience even before it starts.

"Mad World" by Alex Parks would open the show. It is sad and portrays Hamlet's overall feelings at the moment. He is depressed because his father has died and no one else seems to be upset over this fact. This would really put the audience in the mood for the tragedy.

During Ophelia's funeral, "Diary for an Angel" will play. It is nothing but a simple yet beautiful piano piece.

At the very ending during curtain call, "We Suck Young Blood" by Radiohead will play. It is a grim and dark song which is perfect for the grim and dark ending when everyone has died.
